Inferno Dummy
The Inferno is finished but still some final touches on the comic book version. Layout: nearly done. Spelling mistakes: all erased (hopefully). You can find a lot on 140 pages that needs to be corrected.

Occupy Le Monde diplomatique
I was able to make a one page comic for the back side of tomorrows issue of Le Monde diplomatique Germany which was a lot of fun. It’s called “Occupy”.

Mashup
I teamed up with Nic Klein to make two drawings for #5 of our little zine DOLOR. The task was to ink the other guy’s drawing. These are the results. Left: I drew it, Nic inked it. Right: Nic drew it, I inked it. Big version of my piece inked by Nic:

Inferno First Half
Because no. 200 of my daily comic strip for the Frankfurter Rundschau was released last Friday and nearly the half of the story is done, I wanted to share what I’m working on since August 2010. I huddled together all strips from #1 to # 200. It’s definitely lots of work but strangely it doesn’t look so much when you see all of them together.

Daily Strip Sketches
Here are some sketches for the daily comic strip I posted about before. (Check here) Dante: For Virgil I chose the shape of an Anubis-like jackal. As Anubis Virgil has the meaning of the guide to afterlife and the realm of the dead: The Leopard: The Lion:

Wip Step 06
I finished the cover project. It was fun to do and it’s already send away. It is a hommage to Joe Kittinger the only man who skydived from the edge of space, and survived. Check out the project at www.amos-showtime.com. If you like it you can buy it at the upcoming Amos gigs. This is the back cover. I used several sponges for the texture which was great fun. I’m not kidding. If you...

Wip Step 05
Some more lines and some scratches. And finally some type with some “rub-on” letters. Those were totally bullshit btw. Because I had 90% of those letters everywhere but not where they belong. For everyone who’s wondering about the Wacom pen. It’s perfect for the “rub-on” letters. I have a great idea for the face part of the helmet. More wip tomorrow.

Wip Step 03
Then I destroyed everything, haha! But I saved the lines with tracing paper. I have to experiment more with pencil and primer. I’m not good with analog colors so a proper result will take me some time.

My 1st Daily Strip
I think nearly everyone already knows but I make it official now: The German newspaper Frankfurter Rundschau offered me the great opportunity to do their daily comic strip for the whole next year. I’m really excited about it and I’m sure I will learn a lot during that year. I’ve never done a daily strip before especially for such a long period so I really hope you will like it. ...

Interview …
… for a German - Japanese magazine/newspaper thing. I think it’s available at German institutions in Japan like the German embassy, Goethe Institut etc. So I really don’t know how many people will read it but hey, it’s in Japanese which looks nice.
